Gorehounds take heed! The Blood Sucking Geek is uniting with 8 other blogs to address one of the greatest traditions in horror: gore. Yes that polarizing element of horror, plenty of cinephiles avoid it, and others can’t get enough. We are in that latter group. So I’m excited to announce this upcoming event that is sure to give you all the blood and guts you could ever hope for. Please keep your own blood and guts inside your body for the duration of the ride, we are not seeking donations. Bookmark this page and use it as a reference for the course of these two weeks. You can also expect to see a post entitled “Movies At Dog Farm Slips On A Bloody Banana Peel”, which will actually be my first post to go up. It’s already finished and scheduled to post at 12:01 a.m. on February 10.

I also just rewatched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for the umpteenth time tonight in anticipation of an as yet unwritten post on that one. I figured I’d already hit the oldest TCM and the newest TCM recently, so why not keep it going with the goriest TCM. I have to cop to being a pretty big fan of TCM2, so be forewarned . . . I might have one or two more “big” posts, still shuffling the papers.

How are the rest of you so prolific? I believe I make it hard on myself by not really writing proper reviews and creating posts that are more like appreciations laced with this old man’s nostalgia.

New postings will be scarce at the Dog Farm until the Gore-A-Thon begins, but if anyone cares to visit there’s still a pretty big heap to check out.
Glad you got the Geek back up and running! Looking forward to the Gore-A-Thon, and I’m anxious to read the posts by my compatriots.
