Teddy (2011)

Teddy (2011)

Rating: ★★★★½

From slasher fan website SlasherStudios.com comes a new short in direct tribute to classic slashers.  Teddy is the story of a group of young people who cross paths with a disturbed killer while on a camping trip.  The 12-minute short sets up a quick story, and then proceeds to do what any slasher should: kill characters off.

It is slashingly obvious that these slashers know their slashers.  Teddy quickly proves that these aspiring filmmakers and fans of the genre not only know what they like, they know how to create it.  So make sure to check this short out!  And I, for one, will be keeping a close eye on Slasher Studios for future releases (in fact their second release, Popularity Killer, is already up…review to come).  Check out this trailer for Teddy, and then head over to Slasher Studios.
